What drives me to take chances like that?!
Is there some daredevil gene in my DNA, forcing me into outrageously dangerous situations? Is that why I became a superhero? Why I risk my life for the well-being of perfect strangers? Is that what prompted me to sit through The Grey?
When I walked into Peregrine Falcon’s living room to find my mom, Cheetah Girl, and a minister on the couch, I should have turned tail and flown.
But mine is the burden of audacity. Otherworldly, superhuman bravery. And so I remained in the lion’s den (no place for a bird). I came very close to outwitting my adversaries. But in the end, all my birdbrained cunning wasn’t enough. Cheetah Girl outmaneuvered me, and now I stand poised on the brink of my most dangerous undertaking of all time.
Next week is the Annual Evil Convention of Villains. And I, Wingman, will single-handedly infiltrate it, with the help of Peregrine Falcon.
There’s that daredevil gene at work again.
—Signed Wingman.
Evil Con 2012 was a big success, so far. But, Wingman and Peregrine Falcon are not through yet. They have to first avoid The Jester, before they can even attempt to capture The Inquisitor. Part 2 airs next Thursday!
