Boy Meets Girl scheduled to shoot

Parking Lot Movies is going to start shooting its third feature Sept. 1. What's the story? Ben and Kate go through a series of awkward blind dates, and navigate their way through good intentions from friends and family, on their journey to find true love. 

It's a very funny romantic comedy with lots of quirky characters, kind of like our own family and friends.

It's the classic story: Boy meets girl, boy screws up because he listens to terrible advice from friends and family and does dumb things, boy tries to win girl back.

Casting for feature film (Fox Cities)

Parking Lot Movies is casting several roles for the romantic comedy, "Boy Meets Girl." Men and women ages 18-up, and extras of any age are needed for the company's third film. Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to audition! 

An open casting call will take place in the evening of Monday, August 5, from 6-8 pm at the Menasha Public Library lower level Activity Room in Menasha, Wisconsin. Please contact us for casting call information with any questions. He hope to see you there.

The Switchman accepted at Fright Night Film Fest/Fandom Fest Louisville

     We're excited to announce that Parking Lot Movies are Two-for-Two on film festival acceptance. And the city of Louisville, Kentucky has been very good to us.

     Coincidentally, both of our first feature films, "Charlie's Place" and "The Switchman" have both made it into film fests out of Louisville. Charlie's Place made it into Louisville's International Festival of Film. And now, The Switchman has made it into Fright Night Film Festival, which is a part of Fandom Fest, one of the coolest conferences in the country!

     Many SyFy celebrities will be featured at Fandom Fest, its headliners being William Shatner, Stan Lee, and Gillian Anderson. That a pretty cool start to an awesome line-up. For complete list of celebrities and events go to http://fandomfest.com/en/

     The Switchman will be the headline feature on Sunday, closing the film festival at 4:15 p.m., and leading up to the award ceremony at 6 p.m.

Tension shelved, replaced by romantic comedy

We are looking forward to making "Tension," but have decided to produce something a little lighter first. And what would be lighter than comedy?
A couple movie scripts rose to the top. First there is "Isn't She Lovely?" which is adapted from a stage play by the same name. The story revolves around a little white lie that snowballs when a man who has been secretly playing golf with the excuse that he has been helping his sickly sister named Penelope is forced to produce not only the sister but her home in the country that is suppose to look exactly like theirs. It has all the ear marks of a screwball comedy including the man's best friend having to dress like a woman. The second story which will be most likely the first to be done is "Boy Meets Girl." The opening scene from this script won for short film script at the 2013 Richmond International Film Festival. The story is about a man and woman who must go through a lot of bad eggs, horrible advice from family and friends, and the usual misunderstandings before finding true love.
Casting will likely take place in June, 2013.

'Tension' in pre-production

Our third film, 'Tension,' will be cast in the coming months and produced over the summer, 2013.

The plot: Reality show contestants, who entered the game without knowing anything about it, lose contact with its producer and begin to fear the worst when it appears there is no way out. What has gone wrong? Is the nation under attack? Has a deadly virus killed everyone in the outside world? Is this all a part of the game? Tension builds when contestants begin disappearing, and the rest start turning on each other. The cameras keep rolling, filming their anxiety and capturing odd phenomenon.
